These are two little cardboard girls I did for two dear friends.
“Trust Yourself” I made last month when we where on holiday in France. It was the fifth or sixth time we went to lovely Pfaffenbronn. Over the years I became good friends with someone who lives there. It’s a shame we only see each other maybe once a year or less, but it’s always so great when we are together! We have so much in common and can talk for hours about health, food, homeopathy, spirituality, etc. etc. Very nice to spent time with her and we learn a lot from each other. But the holidays are always to short …
This year I made her this little girl. I did the drawing with graphite pencil, for most of the coloring I used Prismacolor pencils, Pan Pastels and a stencil for the background and Molotow acrylic pen for the highlights. Almost forgot, I’ve started by putting a thin layer of Golden Absorbent ground on the cardboard.
“Wine is Bottled Poetry” I’ve made in January of this year. Also for a very good friend, who lives a little closer fortunately She is so very creative, makes the most beautiful things and she is one of my best friends.
The little squares of cardboard that I use to make these girls, I’ve got from her. I was so pleased with the scraps of cardboard that she gave me that I made her this wine girl. She loves her glass of red wine
I’ve used paper from the liquor store, some patch paper and stamps for the background, different brands of Acrylics to paint her, Prismacolor pencils and Molotow acrylic pen for the details. The little silver dots are made with Ranger Liquid Pearls. The star is a little mirror.
I believe they where both pleased with their girls.
